Leather cleaners clean your leather but provide no conditioning or protection. If your leather is very soiled use a leather cleaner. A dedicated cleaner has more cleaning power than a multi-use product.

For newer leather or leather that has been regularly maintained a combination cleaner/conditioner may be all you require. Many also include a UV protector as well

Alcantara (also known as Micro-Suede) is a faux suede fabric often used on steering wheels & interior trim components.

Leather conditioners restore oils to the leather preventing it from drying & cracking 

Leather protectors put a barrier on top of your leather guarding it from spills & stains such as jean dye transfer. Coated leather is also easier to clean

A general purpose scrub brush should not be used for leather since it may scratch the surface
